Participants perform a free programme, allowing them to select repertoire that best expresses their artistry. This year, in the final round of the Professional Category, finalists will perform one of Mozart’s piano concertos (K.414 or K.449) accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of Aachen. After each performance, competitors may receive individual consultation with the jury, offering constructive feedback to help them improve and grow.
Our jury is made up of internationally renowned professors, lecturers, and performing pianists, who also lead the festival’s masterclasses. This ensures that participants not only compete but also benefit from the guidance of highly respected musicians.
To maintain fairness, all participants must not be current students of any jury member, and masterclasses are held after the competition, so everyone can participate without any conflict of interest.
Winners of each category receive prize money and concert opportunities, giving them meaningful performance experience and a chance to advance their careers. The MozArte International Piano Competition combines high-level evaluation with encouragement and education, helping young pianists build confidence, artistry, and a professional outlook in a nurturing environment.
